Life Drawing

|| Please note our Tuesday classes have now changed to a Monday, Apologies for any inconvenience ||

T U T O R E D :

7:30-9:00pm on Mondays (ECA J05) or

5:30-7:00pm on Wednesdays (South Bridge Resource Centre)

These courses are ran weekly by professional artists for the duration of the semester and are ideal for people wanting to see their work progress with different methods and feedback.  In the past, block sessions have focused on colour, expression and anatomy.

Sign-ups for these classes open at the beginning of each semester and it costs just £60 for the term. As spaces are quite limited, please email to request a space on the course and which day/tutor you would prefer, we have worked with both our lovely tutors, Jess and Greg, for a number of years. Places will be assigned on a first come first served basis.

Jess (Mondays) : Jess encourages exploration and experimentation, allowing students to try out a variety of materials and techniques from ink-painting to collage. Promoting curiosity and self-expression, the exercises should embolden students to fearlessly confront new materials, techniques and subject matter.

Greg (Wednesdays) : Exploiting the malleability of charcoal, Greg’s approach focuses on honing the way we look and allowing a drawing to emerge through continual observation and refinement. Through a series of various activities and much guided practice the connection between eye and hand should start to become second nature.

D R O P – I N :

7:15-9:00pm Wednesdays (South Bridge Resource Centre)

These sessions are open to everyone every week and cost £3.50 for members and £5.50 for non-members. All materials are included, along with easels, and feature a different model and a variety of timed poses each week.
